Day traders close all positions before market close. Requires high discipline, large capital, experience. Statistics: 90% of day traders lose in first year. This is the hardest method.

Why 90% lose?

1) Transaction fees eat profits. 2) Slippage + wide spreads. 3) Emotions hard to control with 10+ trades/day. 4) Competition against algorithmic traders.

Popular Setups

Opening Range Breakout (break of first 15 min range). Gap fill (price fills yesterday gap). VWAP bounce. Pivot points.

Required Indicators

VWAP (very strong for intraday), Pivot Points (S/R), Volume (confirmation). Avoid MACD/RSI — too laggy for 1-5min timeframes.

Risk Management

Max 1% capital per trade. Tight stop loss (0.5-1%). 3 consecutive losing trades = stop trading that day.

Vietnam — Unique Challenges

T+2 settlement: cannot truly "day trade" stocks. Only VN30F1M futures derivatives. Low liquidity for penny stocks.

Honest Advice

Don't day trade with capital < 500M VND. Don't day trade without 3+ years swing experience. Day trading is NOT a get-rich-quick path.
